Sunday 11/03/13 - Unity In Identity

With the many denomination and divisions we see in the church today, the question must be asked, "How do we find unity?" We have seen people try throughout history to find unity through practice and doctrine, but has that worked? Today we looked at the name that binds us together and under which we can find unity in the midst of diversity.

Today we spoke about yokes and burdens! While Jesus was on the earth, He said that if we will lay aside our burdens and instead take his upon ourselves we will find rest. When Peter and John approached the lame man in Acts 3 they did not give money or comfort or some sort of message of empowerment. They knew the man's greatest need and gave him Jesus. We can learn from their example. Please listen and be blessed in Jesus' name as we examine why it is absolutely essential that we as Christians share Christ with everyone we meet.

God is the same yesterday, today and forever. So why is it that Jesus saw immediate, visible results every time He prayed to God for someone and yet his disciples did not always see the same? We know that God's power and will remain the same, so what made the difference? What about us? Can we actually limit the power of God by how we pray?
